Noor Bedi studies in Pathways School, Gurgaon, and has had a deep and sustained interest in the biological factors as how they influence the psychological patterns observable in a human. It is for her deep interest in human behavior that Noor launched the project, “KindMinds” through which she intends to not only improve the caregiving system for the socioeconomically challenged individuals who are diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s, but also provide tangible support to the caregivers themselves who are often overlooked in the conversations around mental health treatment.
Besides this, she also has an inclination towards the creative arts and languages, having a proficiency in both English and Spanish at her school level. Such an orientation has pushed her towards organizing social initiatives like “Kalad” that has been working to provide an online market to the underserved local artisans of India, for them to be able to practice their art in a sustainable way. Her creative instincts have also made her a proficient pianist with a training of about six years, during which time she gained strong foundation in not only musical theories but also complex techniques required for playing classical songs on the piano.
